Sand Cats

Sand Cats are wild cats that live in the desert. They are small probably smaller than an average domestic cat but they can't be a pet. They're built to be out in the wild and must remain there.

Lee Junki Rehearsal Accident

Lee Junki who is currently serving the army and preparing for a stage play entitled Voyage of Life co-produced by Ministry of National Defense and Korea Musical Theatre Association got into an accident during the rehearsal of the said play and was reported to have 50 stitches on his forehead.



The actor accidentally hit his head on a metal frame supporting a prop on the stage when they're rehearsing. The accident happened during the transition to the next scene when the lights were dimmed. Due to darkness, the incident happened.

He was transferred to the ER right away and had undergone surgery that lasted for two hours. They had stitched his forehead to prevent the wound from opening.

Although his doctors advice him to rest for now, he still performed on their premiere last August 21. The play will run until August 29th.

New group consisting of teenage girls named GP Basic will soon be releasing their own album. They already released a single plus MV for their song Game few days back.

Luntik, the Four-eared Cat

Luntik the cat’s ears must be burning from all the discussion he’s generating — all four of ’em.

That’s because the 3-month-old kitten, who lives in an auto service station garage in the far eastern Russian city of Vladivostok, was born with dual sets of ears. But while Luntik undoubtedly draws double takes from motorists pulling into the station, he doesn’t get a double earful of their exclamations: The small pair of vestigial ears slightly in front of the main ones — which are purr-fectly normal — contain no ear canals or anything else that would make them functional.



Still, Luntik is causing quite a stir. The British press has dubbed Luntik “Jedi Cat,” while wags on the Web are speculating that the cat’s condition is a genetic hangover from the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown of 1986.

But as strange as Luntik may look, the Russian cat is far from alone. In 2004, a German cat named Lilly generated headlines for her four ears, and Yoda the cat did likewise in Chicago in 2008.

Poor Cat Rescued From A Man Who's About To Cook Him

Poor cat... :( When I saw this news yesterday, it made me cringe. How can someone do that to their pet? While I'm here suffering cause my favorite cat died recently, here's someone who's going to kill and even eat a poor cat. :(



Good thing Navarro the cat has finally found a new home... and oh, his new name is Oliver.

Navarro the cat is safe and sound in his new home.

Rescued Sunday from a man who was preparing the cat as a meal, the 4-year-old feline was adopted Tuesday through the SPCA Serving Erie County by Vickie Dankowski of Cheektowaga.

"I woke up [Tuesday] and read the article in The Buffalo News and couldn't believe what I was reading," Dankowski said. "I said, 'I think I might want to adopt him.'"

When Buffalo police pulled over a car driven by Gary L. Korkuck on Sunday night, they heard a cat crying from inside the trunk. Officers investigated and found Navarro in a cage "marinating" in a mixture of crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt and oil.

Korkuck, 51, of Cheektowaga, had adopted the cat from the SPCA in May. Korkuck allegedly told police the cat was "mean" to him, and he didn't want it anymore because it was "possessive, greedy and wasteful." Korkuck was charged with one count of cruelty to animals.

"We've heard of some really bizarre stories, but nothing like this," said Gina M. Browning, the SPCA's director of public relations. "It's clearly not someone who was in his right mind."

Navarro was turned over to the SPCA, and since his story appeared in The News, the domestic short hair has become somewhat of a local celebrity.

"The phone was ringing all morning," Browning said Tuesday. "Some people were checking on him. Others were asking if they could adopt him."

Dankowski went to the SPCA on Ensminger Road in the Town of Tonawanda at noon Tuesday to inquire about adopting Navarro, but a Kenmore woman was already first in line.

After talking to Dankowski, the Kenmore woman who already had two cats and a dog agreed to let her adopt Navarro.

Dankowski returned to the SPCA after work Tuesday to pick him up and take him home. "The timing was right," she said.

Dankowski, a deputy clerk for the Town of Cheektowaga, had two cats, but one died in March. She has been considering adopting a second cat as company for her 6-year-old female, Anna Belle.

"I got him home now, and he's just looking and exploring like crazy," she said Tuesday night. "He's really passive and not aggressive at all."

He has a new bed, a new litter box and a new name: Oliver.

"He's all black, but he has white under his chin, on all his paws and on his chest," Dankowski said. "They bathed him so many times to get the spices out, so he feels so soft. He's absolutely beautiful."

BoA to Play the Lead Role in a Hollywood Movie

BoA was said to be having a debut movie in the US according to her management SM Entertainment. The movie was said to be about dancing and would be directed by Step up and Save the Last Dance director, Duane Adler.



The director is still looking for a lead male actor. Filming is said to start early 2011.

Kiwi Using Treadmill to Heal Legs

Piwi a four-year-old kiwi broke his legs after two separate accidents that injured both of his legs. He's too small for a normal kiwi that's why they thought he won't be surviving with two injured legs. However, the vets thought of using a treadmill to restore strength for his legs to enable him to walk again. At first Piwi doesn't like it but improvements on his legs are evident and now, he has a big chance of living a normal life in the wild again. :)

Salute to the vets and all the people who rescued Piwi. :) And salute to Piwi too for being strong. ^^
